Monarchs nectaring on Cup Plant
Cup plant (Silphium perfoliatum) is not only a giant-sized native plant but also a tremendous support for pollinators. It provides pollen, nectar and water. The common name Cup Plant refers to it’s adjoining leaves which collect rain water like cups.
