About
Leaf & Sky features human-created art to promote awareness of the importance of biodiversity. Dee’s original collection of art & surface patterns is her ongoing research focus since 2018 about native plants and pollinators. This art collection is the basis for our handmade products that inform and encourage people to connect with the ecosystems within their reach — to inspire people to practice new methods of conservation. Of vital importance is the sustaining process of pollination. We focus on promoting plants native to North America as the basis for supporting native bees and other pollinators — our exclusive art is created out of research about native plants and pollinators in our own habitat garden where we have more than 40 types of native plants.
Our home goods, stationery, wearables and garden accessories are created and made in our Kansas City workshop. Organic cotton fabrics are printed in the United States with organic inks, or eco-friendly inks. In our workshop, we cut and sew our exclusive textile products and make nesting houses for solitary bees, houses & feeders for birds, bat houses & butterfly houses. Our stationery is printed locally on Neenah Environment recycled paper. Sustainable practices are of prime consideration with limited waste and recyclable or compostable packaging.
