Kansas City’s original outdoor, European style Christmas Market will be at The Alexander Majors Barn and Grounds in Waldo November 29-30 and at The Guild in The Crossroad December 20-21. These venues are the most charming and beautiful venues in Kansas City. Join KC’s greatest artists, makers and more to celebrate the handmade movement alongside food trucks, drinks, music and more!

Troostwood Pocket Park • Open House
Get to know the Troostwood Pocket Park with it’s native plants, Little Free Library, talks by neighbors about natural landscapes.
Leaf & Sky will be there and Dee is giving a short talk about habitat gardens and the pollinators, etc that are supported by native plants.
GROW native! Native Plant Sale
The Missouri Prairie Foundation will hold a native plant sale on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center, 4750 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO 64110 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Native plants beautify landscapes and help support songbirds and other cherished wildlife. Buy native wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, trees, vines, and sedges from Grow Native! professional members. Some vendors accept cash, check, or credit cards; some only cash or checks.
Vendors: Gaylena’s Garden, Missouri Wildflowers Nursery, Ozark Soul Native Plants, City Roots Nursery, Sow Wild Natives, and Leaf & Sky.
Shoppers can stroll through the sale and purchase plants from each vendor. Shoppers can also pre-order plants and have their orders ready for pick up at the event. The following vendors are accepting pre-orders. When placing your pre-orders, please include your phone number and note that the order is for the Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center on April 19:
