The Missouri Prairie Foundation will hold a native plant sale on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center, 4750 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO 64110 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Native plants beautify landscapes and help support songbirds and other cherished wildlife. Buy native wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, trees, vines, and sedges from Grow Native! professional members. Some vendors accept cash, check, or credit cards; some only cash or checks.
Vendors: Gaylena’s Garden, Missouri Wildflowers Nursery, Ozark Soul Native Plants, City Roots Nursery, Sow Wild Natives, and Leaf & Sky.
Shoppers can stroll through the sale and purchase plants from each vendor. Shoppers can also pre-order plants and have their orders ready for pick up at the event. The following vendors are accepting pre-orders. When placing your pre-orders, please include your phone number and note that the order is for the Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center on April 19:

Our purpose is to showcase local artists and makers, offering unique and handmade items that are perfect for anyone looking to support local crafters or find one-of-a-kind gifts. Our fair brings together artisans of all mediums, from ceramics to textiles to woodworking and beyond.
The Hermann Missouri Arts and Crafts Fair is sponsored by The Brush and Palette Club, and is a must-attend event of the fall season. Held on the second full weekend in October, and is scheduled for October 11 and 12th, 2025. The fair offers an unparalleled opportunity to discover handmade crafts from 60+ local vendors showcasing their handcrafted wares.

Birds, Bees & Blooms
Missouri River Bird Observatory and the village of Arrow Rock are teaming up for our annual spring festival, Birds, Bees & Blooms! The Birds, Bees & Blooms Festival’s goal is to raise awareness for animals, plants and nature in general and provide a fun, family-oriented experience in the surroundings of Arrow Rock.
We will have >30 booths with activities, educational demonstrations, crafts, food, ecological info of all kinds, and nature-related items for sale. Guided bird and wild edibles hikes around the Arrow Rock State Historic Site and adjacent Big Muddy National Wildlife Refuge, fishing, presentations will take place throughout the day and even get your photo taken with a Bald Eagle!
MRBO’s visitors center will be fully open, including our natural communities diorama KnOwledge Nest! Make sure to stop by and see us!
